There are weddings that stay with you not because of the programme, the location or the spectacle, but because from the very first moment you can feel the elusive yet very real energy that accompanies the whole day, and Marci and Lia's wedding was exactly like that for me, last May, on the Marcali ridge, where two cultures, two families and a lot of emotions met in one story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This wedding was international, half Hungarian, half Israeli, with Jewish traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our pre-wedding meeting already told me a lot about this, when I finally got to meet Marci and Lia in person over a wonderful coffee in Pest, and it soon became clear that Marci is as much a fan of good quality coffee as I am, which might seem like a small detail at first, but it immediately created a connection between us, while Lia's openness, attentiveness and sincere presence completely captivated me, and already there, in that conversation, I felt that their spirit was very close to mine, so that as a photographer I could be sure that our work together would not only be smooth, but also really special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their ceremony was split in two, and two days before the big day, in the same venue, with a beautiful, clean decoration, created by @fiorella wedding<\/strong> prepared, they said \"I do\" in a more intimate setting, which in itself gave the whole wedding depth and the emotional foundation on which all the other moments were built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The @Marcali backyard is a particularly strong venue for me because it's so diverse, the lights filtered through the walnut trees are constantly changing, the characterful spaces of the cellar hold amazing possibilities, and all of this is brought together by a team for whom human connection is not just a nice-sounding phrase but the foundation of their whole approach, and when a couple chooses such an environment, that in itself says a lot about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Marci and Lia's big day, I saw that they had a specialty coffee stand on site, which I loved, because these are the small yet telling details that show how important the quality of the experience is to them, so a huge thank you for the delicious pressos, Nanu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the values of a wedding couple are so in sync with those of the couple, the ceremony becomes the loudest, the most free and at the same time the most touching, and that's exactly what happened here, as the basement was already exploding at the entrance, and when they were officially married, everything went wild, and I experienced a lot of smiles, jumping and pure joy that you rarely see at a ceremony.It was completely captivating...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the ceremony, a relaxed creative photo shoot, followed by an amazingly delicious dinner and an increasingly relaxed atmosphere led the evening to the point where the party really started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this is where something happened that is forever etched in my memory, because while Marci and Lia were celebrating on chairs, raised to the sky, a double rainbow appeared above us, a sight the likes of which I had never seen before, and which felt not like a coincidence but the crowning of their story, as if the whole day and their whole relationship had been confirmed at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, people were jumping to traditional music, many people ran out into the rain, danced on the terrace, laughed, gave themselves to the moment as if there was no tomorrow, and there was something released in me from deep inside, with such power that at that moment I was sure: I have never been so happy at a wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I was just working.
Yeah...I was working, of course..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's not work, it's love, and even now, as I write these lines, I shudder as I return to those moments, both physically and mentally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What particularly touched me at the end of the evening was that Marci and Lia didn't let things drift until dawn, but there was a conscious point where they closed the day, everyone stood around and the two of them danced a slower, more emotional dance, without any planning, simply because that's when and where the feelings came to a head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This moment gave a beautiful frame to the whole wedding, an arc, a process and a real closure, and I truly believe that it made the day not only special, but complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can't imagine that this wedding could have been any stronger, any truer or any more honest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will be forever grateful to Lia and Marc for their experience, trust and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
